DUNELLEN -- On a late June day, a new venture opened offering a new type of motorcycle.

A motorcycle which is affordable, light weight (it weighs only 360 pounds), balanced to give the rider not only comfort but also a sense of security when stopped at a light or making a turn.

This easy-to-handle motorcycle is a full size chopper made by Johnny Pag out of California and the business is Sweetride Motorcycles at 9 North Ave. (Route 28).

Sweetride Motorcycles prides itself on selling motorcycles under $5,000 which are what they call a working person's bike. The motorcycles at Sweetride are made for men, women and first time riders. The Johnny Pag Spyder 300 and Raptor Cruiser weight about 360 pounds.

These motorcycles are powerful enough to ride with any of the higher priced bikes and have a top speed of between 65 and 80 miles per hour.

In addition, the dealer is certified to sell Vento Motorcycles and Scooters and also sells dirt bikes and ATVs. It also serviced any make or model of motorcycles. The shop also is selling a new line of Police Motorcycle.

PLT's comment:   I stopped by there. It is by the beginning of Dunellen / end of Plainfield city line. They sell leather vests, shirts (cute shirts for women!), sunglasses, gloves, skull caps, bike accessories, helmets, etc for a reasonable price.  And their bikes are AWESOME!  300cc for under $5,000!  PLUS, they do offer storage place for your motorcycle for $300 a year.
